I Love my family dearly! I believe that the ties that bind are family and love.  My Brother Jim can tell you what that means. Fortunately, for me and my Daughters, he has reached out to all in our family with a website on MyFamily.com.  His site includes both the MacFadyen Clan (My Moms name) as well as Baird Clan.  This has brought all of us together in a way that would never have happened, were it not for Jim.  Thank you Brother!

Bob is the Patriarch of the Rochester Contingent of the Baird Clan. He was born in Scotland and he carried the memories his childhood with him in his new life in America. As he said on occasion when he hears the distant sound of the pipes "They may my blood sing!"  The pipes were played at his funeral. Bob's family includes: Scot, Cathy, Donna, and Jan

Jim is the active ingredient in the Baird Clan and is what brings us all together.  He is the one that keeps everyone in contact, shares news with family around the world, and simply is a wonderful Brother.  Our family affairs hinge on " Jim."

That would be me.  I am kind of like my brothers, but am unique in my own way.  What do you say about yourself on a page like this?......I am younger I am younder than Jim? :-)  I have two great Daughters (Megan and Allison) that I love very much and who make up the other half of the Rochester contingent of the Baird Clan.

My Mom and Dad came here in the early thirties with my oldest Brother Bob.  They lived just off Ridgeway Avenue, and later moved to Rand Street.  They eventually bought a new house on Eastman Avenue, where I and my Brother Jim Grew up.  It was a great life and truly like the movie..... 'A Christmas Story.'  I feel sorry for those that didn't know that time.

and Angus MacFadyen (Uncle Davies Grandson)

I really do not know much about the 'Old Country - 'Scotland' - outside of the stories my Mom would tell, and my visit to see my Uncle Davy and Aunt Martha.  I also recall the laughter of my relatives, and their friends, that paint a picture in my mind of a place I would have wanted to know better.  These few pictures tell a small part of that story.  Maybe the images will trigger such memories for you, Enjoy.  I have also added a link to my Cousin Angus MacFadyen (a movie star).  Check it out!
